Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a school setting in Virginia Beach, VA. This role focuses on pediatric populations, working with students across early childhood through high school grade levels, including pre-school, kindergarten, elementary (K-5), middle school (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and communication disorders in children.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Provide services consistent with state and federal guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational settings.
- Knowledge of early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school speech and language development.
- Ability to work with diverse student groups, including pre-K and kindergarten ages.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
