This role is positioned for growth as the company expands to additional locations.
Salaried position, expected 45 hrs./wk. Must be flexible with hours 9:30 am - 7:30 pm range. Store operating hours are 10 am - 7 pm 7 days/wk. Management staff rotate to cover the operational hours.

- Investigate and resolve cash variances and discrepancies
- Manage ATM refills, withdrawals, and reconciliations
- Reconcile all payment methods daily (cash, POS, electronic payments)
- Maintain detailed documentation of all cash activity and discrepancies
- Enforce strong internal controls to prevent loss, theft, and accounting errors
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees
- Verify hours, tips, PTO, sick time, and deductions in compliance with labor laws
- Maintain confidential payroll records and ensure accurate submissions
- Reconcile payroll and payroll-related accounts
- Coordinate onboarding and payroll setup for new employees
- Verify payroll tax submissions and compliance
Accounting, Compliance & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Reconcile Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements
- Review vendor invoices, verify deliveries, and ensure accurate posting of expenses and COGS
- Manage vendor payments and account reconciliations
- Oversee Sales and Use Tax filings and payments
- Ensure compliance with state cannabis regulations and financial requirements
- Work within METRC (state inventory tracking system) to support compliance and reconciliation
- Partner with the external CPA to support audits, filings, and regulatory reviews
- Assist with audit preparation and regulatory inspections
- Provide leadership support to supervisors by reinforcing SOPs, controls, and accountability
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or financial operations
- Demonstrated experience in cash-heavy, fast-paced environments (hospitality, retail, or regulated industries preferred)
- Experience owning full-cycle bookkeeping or acting as a full-charge bookkeeper
- Payroll processing and reconciliation experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and terminology; ability to communicate effectively with a CPA
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (2–3+ years required)
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with POS systems and accounting software
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP
- Ability to work in METRC or learn state cannabis compliance systems
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and discreet with sensitive information
- Calm, steady judgment under pressure and regulatory scrutiny
- Supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
- Accounting degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Competitive compensation and employee discounts
- Paid time off (PTO)
