Registered Nurse for Mobile Medical Unit (Clinical)

Maine Family Planning is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse. This position is based out of the Bangor clinic working in the community on our Mobile Medical unit (MMU). This position is one day a week.
The Mobile Medical Unit Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for supporting the delivery and coordination of clinical services on the Mobile Medical Unit in collaboration with MMU staff and leadership. The MMU Registered Nurse provides direct patient care and care coordination that aligns with Maine Family Plannings mission, core values, and initiatives.
PrEP is a medication that prevents HIV infection. This role includes maintaining the PrEP database, conducting outreach to patients who are due for PrEP injections, and assisting with PrEP administration. The MMU Registered Nurse also supports clinical operations through blood draws, injections, and other clinical procedures as needed. The nurse works closely with the MMU clinical team to enhance continuity of care, patient engagement, and the overall effectiveness of mobile services.

Qualifications Needed for Position:
Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skills are considered essential:
- Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients
Education and Knowledge Requirements: The following education requirements are considered essential:
- Registered Nurse in the State of Maine
