Job Summary:
- The Records Manager III supports GAO by developing and maintaining file plans, retention schedules, and metadata documentation.
- This position ensures proper storage, retrieval, and delivery of records, performs quality assurance checks, and assists with digitization and migration projects to support GAO’s transition to electronic records management.
- Records Manager III supports GAO in organizing and managing records, ensuring compliance, and supporting digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain file plans and retention schedules.
- Conduct inventories and metadata documentation.
- Retrieve, secure, and deliver records per GAO standards.
- Support digitization and migration projects.
- Conduct QA on recordkeeping.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant records management experience.
Preferred Skills:
- File plan development, metadata documentation, information retrieval, digitization support.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Business, or related field.
Relevant Certification (Preferred):
- Certified Records Manager (CRM).
