Over the years, we’ve developed a specialty niche by sourcing, repurposing, and transplanting rare, unusually shaped, and mature specimen plants—providing signature pieces that bring character and distinction to award-winning landscapes.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Sales Assistant to support our nursery sales team and assist with various office tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong interest in horticulture who is looking to move into a sales person role over time. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to learn the ins and outs of our business. Prior experience or education in horticulture and plant knowledge is highly preferred. This position is based in a small, casual office environment and requires flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors.
Key Responsibilities:
· Answering office phones - Communicating with clients and vendors.
· Data entry of invoices and sales orders.
· Electronic filing
· Printing plant labels and tagging incoming and outgoing plant material
· Support office staff with tasks as needed.
· Running errands for general manager as needed.
Qualifications:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Highly efficient, detail-oriented, and quick to learn new tasks.
· Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
· Solid understanding of horticulture and ability to identify a variety of plants.
· Proven experience in administrative support and/or sales roles
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
