This assignment places you on a high-acuity NICU team, giving you exposure to a wide spectrum of patient care needs—from 23-week preemies to infants requiring complex surgical interventions. You'll collaborate closely with experienced nurse leaders and interdisciplinary teams, advancing your skills in a Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital setting. Schedule/Hours

  • 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend required
  • No on-call
  • Expected to work 75% of holidays
  • Scheduling cycle: every 6 weeks

Qualifications

  • Current RN license
  • BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Minimum two years of recent NICU nursing experience
  • Proficiency in basic vent management, central line management, pre/post-surgical care, tracheostomy and G-tube management
  • Skilled in breastfeeding, bottle feeding, gavage feeding, blood transfusion, and infant venous access
  • Comfort with EPIC EMR

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive care to neonates with a variety of surgical and medical needs
  • Manage and monitor critical lab values, medications, and ventilators
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including neonatologists and pediatric specialists
  • Float to other pediatric units as needed (Peds, PICU, Adolescent Peds, Hem/Onc)
  • Maintain thorough, accurate documentation
