Job Description

Commercial Civil Foreman

Location: Auburndale, FL (Central Florida Projects)
Company: Quality “Plus” Services

Position Overview

Quality “Plus” Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Civil Foreman to lead field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects. This role is not limited to dirt or utility work alone. The successful candidate must demonstrate hands‐on experience in concrete forming, structural concrete, metal and steel framing, and the ability to manage multiple scopes simultaneously for demanding industrial clients.

This position requires a true field leader—someone who sets the standard on the jobsite, drives production, enforces safety, and inspires crews to perform at a higher level through expectation, accountability, and example.

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Crew Management

  • Lead, supervise, and develop field crews across multiple work scopes
  • Set daily work plans, manpower assignments, and production goals
  • Maintain discipline, morale, and productivity while holding teams accountable
  • Actively mentor crew members and inspire men to improve performance and professionalism
  • Serve as the on‐site authority representing Quality “Plus” Services

Commercial & Industrial Construction Execution

  • Oversee commercial and industrial construction activities, including:
    • Concrete forming, pours, placement, and finishes
    • Structural concrete foundations and slabs
    • Metal framing and structural steel coordination
    • Site work coordination with vertical construction activities
  • Coordinate sequencing between trades to prevent delays and rework
  • Ensure work is completed per plans, specifications, and client expectations

Planning, Coordination & Documentation

  • Read, interpret, and execute construction drawings, details, and specifications
  • Proactively identify conflicts, constructability issues, and scope gaps
  • Coordinate inspections with inspectors, engineers, and project management
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, equipment usage, and productivity tracking (Procore/B2W or equivalent)
  • Communicate progress, risks, and schedule impacts clearly to Project Managers and Superintendents

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Own jobsite safety as the primary field authority
  • Enforce OSHA, company, and client safety standards without exception
  • Stop work when conditions are unsafe or quality is compromised
  • Ensure quality control for concrete, framing, and structural elements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite environment

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of foreman or lead‐level experience in commercial or industrial construction
  • Proven leadership experience running crews—not just operating equipment
  • Hands‐on experience with:
    • Concrete forming and structural concrete work
    • Metal and steel framing
    • Multi‐scope commercial projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and trade coordination
  • Ability to lead under pressure and on high‐expectation industrial sites
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as project demands require

Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (Construction)
  • CPR / First Aid
  • Trench Safety / Competent Person (if applicable)
  • Additional supervisory or safety training a plus

Not a Fit If

  • Experience is limited to dirt work only, residential construction, or single‐scope projects
  • No exposure to concrete forming, structural concrete, or steel/metal framing
  • Preference is to run equipment without leading people
  • Limited accountability for crew performance, safety, or quality
  • Avoids responsibility or thrives only under direct supervision

What Success Looks Like

  • Crews are productive, disciplined, and engaged
  • Work is completed safely, on schedule, and to specification
  • Clients and Project Managers trust your judgment and leadership
  • Team members improve under your direction
  • Jobsites reflect professionalism, pride, and ownership

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Stable, long‐term work with a growing national contractor
  • Opportunity to contribute to commercial and industrial projects
  • Clear growth path for proven field leaders
  • Support from experienced project management and leadership teams
