Job Title: Personal Assistant
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Personal Assistant to support a new small business owner with both professional and personal responsibilities. This role will include a combination of administrative support for the business, assistance with household tasks, and guidance with computer systems to improve efficiency and digital skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Support
- Manage schedules, appointments, and calendars
- Organize files, documents, and digital records
- Assist with email correspondence and phone calls
- Research vendors, suppliers, or service providers as needed
- Provide support with bookkeeping, invoicing, or expense tracking (training provided if necessary)
Household Support
- Run errands (e.g., grocery shopping, deliveries, dry cleaning)
- Assist with household organization and light cleaning/tidying
- Coordinate household services or maintenance appointments
- Help with meal prep or other day-to-day needs
Technology & Computer Support
- Provide tutoring on basic computer systems, software, and digital tools
- Set up and troubleshoot devices, apps, and online accounts
- Recommend technology solutions that improve productivity and organization
- Assist with setting up online systems for both personal and business use
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with common computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and teach others in a clear, patient manner
- Responsible, trustworthy, and adaptable to varied tasks
- Prior experience as an assistant, tutor, or in a customer-service role is a plus
Other Details:
- Part-time with potential to grow into full-time
- Flexible schedule, in-person work required at the owners home and on-site at the business once it opens this winter.
