Position Summary
The Payroll & Reporting Assistant supports the Payroll Specialist and HR Director in executing payroll, benefits administration, and producing key HR and financial reports. This role is responsible for supporting the payroll specialist, coordinating benefit-related transactions, and supporting compliance and vendor-related tasks.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing by reviewing time entries and preparing validated input for the Payroll Specialist
- Support the administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, qualifying life events, and responding to vendor and employee inquiries
- Process benefits invoices and track payment schedules, escalating discrepancies when needed
- Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records in HRIS and payroll systems
- Generate standard and ad hoc reports for management information, payroll audits, and compliance needs
- Partner with FP&A and Payroll Specialist to support personnel cost reporting and compensation data reconciliation
- Assist in documenting payroll and benefits workflows to support process improvements and internal controls
- Provide support during audits, data clean-ups, special projects and ad hoc administrative tasks
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in payroll support, HR administration, or benefits coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, formulas)
- Familiarity with payroll and HRIS systems (ADP preferred)
Travel and Hours
- This position is located in Irving, TX.
- In-office position.
- Schedule: 8AM-5PM; Monday - Friday.
