Mechanical Technician (Training Provided)
We are seeking a Bench Mechanic to join our team at Calibrated Products Inc. If you are a hands-on fixer with a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to master a specialized trade, we want to hear from you. While we specialize in high-performance hydraulic systems used in railroad, industrial, and maintenance applications, we are willing to train the right candidate in hydraulic repair. This role involves precision bench-type mechanical work in a fast-paced service environment.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical Repair: Disassemble, inspect, and rebuild complex mechanical assemblies and components.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical failures and identify necessary repairs to restore equipment to peak performance.
- Testing & Quality Control: Learn to operate specialized test stands to verify equipment performance and safety standards.
- Service Coordination: Respond to work order requests efficiently to minimize downtime for our customers.
- Collaboration: Work alongside machinists and mechanics to complete comprehensive equipment overhauls.
- Safety First: Adhere to all safety policies and procedures within the machine shop and service center.
Qualifications
- Mechanical Aptitude: Proven experience in bench-type mechanical work (e.g., automotive, small engine, or industrial machinery repair).
- Willingness to Learn: A strong interest in becoming an expert in hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, and hydrostatic transmissions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and follow technical manuals or blueprints.
- Physical Capability: Ability to handle a physical workload and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Tools: Employee must furnish their own basic set of hand tools.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Mindset: A commitment to quality workmanship, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.
