Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position is for a Special Education Teacher working with students in grades K-12, specifically covering grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. The role is based in Holton, KS, within a school setting, and offers a contract duration from January 2026 through June 2026.

Qualifications:

• Active State License in Special Education is required
• Experience with self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, and special day classrooms preferred

Job Details:

• Position start date: January 2026
• Position end date: June 2026
• Compensation starting at $36 per hour
• Work schedule: 30 to 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
• Caseload includes a range of K-12 students requiring special education services
• The role includes supporting students in various classroom settings such as self-contained, resource, and special day classrooms

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
• Provide tailored instruction and support to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations
