About the Role
We are seeking a motivated R&D Technician to join our Technical Department. In this role, you will support our Chemists in the development, testing, and application of new and existing products. This position is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys laboratory work, problem-solving, and contributing to product innovation in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory trial batches and perform compounding work
- Test products according to industry standards and document results
- Apply products using production equipment in a board shop environment
- Complete laboratory work requests accurately and on time
- Write clear, concise reports on testing and development activities
- Support Quality Control functions as needed
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety policies at all times
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or experience in chemistry highly preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory test equipment and procedures
- Strong math and counting skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Previous laboratory or technical work experience is a plus
Working Conditions
- Indoor laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals, odors, machine noise, and dust
- Routine use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes and uniforms (provided)
- Occasional heavy lifting and repetitive tasks
- Some overtime or weekend work may be required
