Pay : $32-43/hour - DOE

Schedule : 5am – 1:30pm (Mon – Fri) & 2:30pm - 11pm (Mon - Fri)

Job Description

The Electronics Technician will work under limited supervision to test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic or mechanical products, parts, equipment, and systems. This role applies principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, and electronic testing to ensure the highest quality of production.

Responsibilities

  • Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic or mechanical products, equipment, and systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
  • Use manufacturing and engineering instructions for testing assembled units.
  • Create non-conformance reports detailing testing results and initial root cause investigations.
  • Perform testing operations within assigned functional areas.
  • Calibrate and adjust units using component selection, potentiometer adjustment, and other methods.
  • Conduct automated and manual testing using specialized equipment and consoles.
  • Practice safe work habits in line with OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Support business initiatives including 5S, KPI’s, Standard Work, and Problem Solving.
  • Maintain system logs and manuals for equipment operation documentation.
  • Cross-train less experienced technicians and take a leadership role in the value stream.
  • Troubleshoot production failures down to the component level.
  • Be flexible and willing to work overtime when necessary.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in a related field or equivalent educational experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting methods and circuitry or mechanical characteristics.
  • Familiarity with product flow in a manufacturing or repair environment.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to learn new test software and equipment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to make precise movements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with assembly and soldering.
  • Ability to work with multiple software systems including time entry, data entry, online training, PDM, and MRP systems.

Work Environment

The work environment is typical for a manufacturing setting, which may require the use of safety equipment such as eye safety glasses, gowns, masks, and hearing protectors. You may be exposed to loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust, or fumes. The role involves standing 20% and sitting 80% of the time, with lifting up to 35 pounds and pushing up to 100 pounds. Work is conducted at a workbench or clean bench, with the use of computers and microscopes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70720.00 - $89440.00/yr.
