Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Production Managers, Group Leaders, and Team Leaders across multiple shifts.
  • Implement and sustain Toyota Production System (TPS) tools and methodologies including Kanban, 5S, and Just-In-Time (JIT).
  • Foster a culture of Kaizen and problem-solving, empowering teams to drive improvements at every level.
  • Ensure standardized work is in place across the facility, with accurate cycle times maintained in SAP to ensure capacity, scheduling, and cost targets are achieved across the facility.
  • Monitor and improve key performance metrics: safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
  • Partners with Plant Leadership team to drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing change program across the production operation. Monitor, report and communicate progress.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, defects, and cycle times while increasing throughput.
  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods to monitor production processes, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Partner with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to align production with customer demand and company goals.
  • Drive standardization of work processes while encouraging innovation and process optimization.

  • Develop and manage annual production budgets, ensuring alignment with cost, labor, and efficiency targets.
  • Conduct capacity planning and resource allocation to balance workloads and meet fluctuating customer demands.
  • Implement training programs that build technical, safety, and problem-solving skills across the production workforce.
  • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance practices to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and ramp-up activities, ensuring seamless integration into production lines.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance material flow, supply chain efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and present regular production performance updates to senior leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and progress on KPIs.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in production or operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Toyota Production System (TPS), Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, and JIT methodologies.
  • Strong background in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and ability to interpret data for decision-making.
  • Proven success improving throughput, waste reduction, defect rates, and efficiency metrics.
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, or other high-volume manufacturing industries strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills; ability to coach and influence teams at all levels.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, or higher) is a strong plus.
