A leading organization is seeking a detail-oriented professional to assist with an I-9 compliance audit on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible. This fully remote role (with PST hours preferred) is expected to run approximately six weeks, or until the project is complete, with a flexible schedule of 25–40 hours per week. The selected candidate will work closely with the Senior HRIS Coordinator to review and clean up historical I-9 records from before their transition to Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current USCIS requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Review historical paper I-9 forms to confirm compliance and completeness.
- Identify missing information, errors, or documents requiring follow-up.
- Reference and utilize the USCIS website and I-9 guidelines to verify form requirements.
- Cross-check digital records, reports, and employee files to ensure all data is accurate.
- Collaborate with the Sr. HRIS Coordinator to track progress and resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience performing I-9 audits and/or completing I-9 forms for an employer strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with the USCIS website and federal I-9 compliance requirements.
- Background in HR compliance, employment law, or HR operations with strong document review skills.
- Ability to quickly identify errors or missing information and work with precision in a high-volume review environment.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy while working independently.
