Job DescriptionAsylum NYC is seeking friendly and dynamic individuals to fill the Bartender position.
Responsibilities Include:
- Food and beverage sales before, during, after shows, events, and overall general bar service hour.
- Selling beverages.
- Providing an experience for patrons.
- Accurate accounting of all sales.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area along with restocking.
- Executing safe and proper alcohol service.
- Enforcing state and federal drinking laws.
- Updating sales and inventory records accurately and consistently.
- Effectively communicating customer service needs to Managers as needed.
Skills Needed:
- Previous full-liquor bartending experience.
- Full evening and weekend availability.
- Be able to stand for 1 hour or more.
- Be able to carry 30 lbs or more.
- Excellent speaking and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Performs well under pressure and in chaotic environments while juggling multiple competing tasks and demands as necessary.
- Adaptive decision making.
- Must have be exceptionally polite and have a positively eager to help personality.
- ServSafe certified or other alcohol service certified.
- Candidates must be 21+ or older.
A plus if you have:
- An interest in live entertainment and comedy performances.
- Previous bartend experience.
- Familiar with Square POS software.
- Familiar with the New York Improv Scene.
$11/hour plus tips.
