Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed minimum 36 hours per week; 48-hour contracts available upon request
- Every other holiday, three weekends per six-week schedule
- Floating within skillset required, with 2-hour notice for cross-campus assignment
Qualifications:
- Active compact RN license (AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS certifications required)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including 1 year in stepdown
- At least 1 prior travel assignment and trauma level II experience
- Recent EPIC charting proficiency
- Must pass telemetry and 12-lead EKG interpretation tests
- Demonstrated strength in assessment and critical thinking
- Comfortable with float assignments and adaptable to change
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with home ventilators, drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips
Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert care to patients with cardiac, neurological, and post-surgical needs
- Conduct NIHSS/neuro assessments, manage dysphagia screens, and initiate/titrate IV drips
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a supportive unit
- Precept and mentor students or new hires as needed
