Job DescriptionConverting Operator
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Converting Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting production operations by operating equipment, preparing materials, maintaining accuracy, and assisting with shipping and inventory processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cutting and slitting equipment used in packaging material production.
- Stage and place materials to support safe and efficient production.
- Maintain organized work areas to promote accuracy, safety, and cleanliness.
- Pull and verify materials and supplies according to production orders.
- Perform quality checks on work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with inventory counts and help maintain inventory accuracy.
- Locate, pack, and prepare materials for shipping.
- Document material movement, including units delivered, storage locations, and shipments.
- Prepare finished goods for shipment by pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Support team needs and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is helpful, but not required.
- Ability to read and follow production orders and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to take on multiple tasks.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility daily.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move consistently throughout an 8- to 10-hour shift.
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed to support production and shipping functions.
