A full-time, contract opportunity is available for a Certified School Nurse (CSN) to support student health and safety in an elementary school setting located in Toms River, NJ. This role involves providing essential medical care and health services to students and staff while fostering a healthy and safe school environment throughout the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver basic medical care, including first aid and emergency response.
- Manage chronic health conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings such as vision and hearing tests.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with health needs.
- Serve as a liaison between school personnel, parents, and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records in line with state and school policies.
- Educate students and staff on wellness, safety, and preventive health practices.
Qualifications:
- Active School Nurse License/Certification in the state of New Jersey.
- Experience in a school nursing role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent munication skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with children, parents, and school staff.
