Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) night shift position at a Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Illinois, requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Work setting is an 18-bed Labor & Delivery / LDRP unit within a Magnet-designated acute care hospital with 97 total staffed beds
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines and vary by stage of labor or induction method; postpartum is 1:3–4 couplets
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating may be required between two facility locations (Belleville and Shiloh) within scope of practice
- Block scheduling is not available
- Charting is done in Epic; Epic experience is required
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Free parking on site
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required; MO state license also required at time of consideration
- Pending IL license may be accepted — please note this when applying
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Travelers may work at this facility for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required
- Scrubs are provided — no need to bring your own
