Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ success throughout the 26/27 school year as a paraprofessional. This contract position offers the chance to provide meaningful assistance to Special Education (SPED) students, including both behavioral support and individualized 1:1 interactions. Work closely with educators and specialists to help meet each student’s unique needs and create an encouraging, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a school setting preferred
- Ability to offer behavioral support and guidance to students
- Comfortable working directly with SPED cases and individualized education plans
- Reliable, patient, and caring demeanor
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Dependable attendance and ability to follow school protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support SPED students with daily classroom activities
- Provide 1:1 and group assistance, both academically and behaviorally
- Help implement behavior intervention plans and monitor student progress
- Foster a safe, respectful, and structured environment
- Assist with data collection and documentation for student progress reports
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to enhance student achievement
- Adapt to changing needs and situations throughout the school day
