Hiring a Clinical Medical Assistant!
Job Description
This role supports a busy clinical practice by providing hands-on patient care, assisting with preoperative preparation, and ensuring treatment rooms and equipment are ready for each visit. The Clinical Medical Assistant works closely with clinicians and patients to deliver a high level of service, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a welcoming and professional environment. Responsibilities
- Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical trays in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Ensure treatment rooms remain clean, stocked, and organized before, during, and after patient visits.
- Chart and document patients’ vital signs and medical histories accurately in the electronic health record.
- Assist with preoperative preparation and support clinicians during clinical procedures as needed.
- Provide compassionate, professional patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a positive, welcoming environment for all patients, including high-end clientele.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, clinicians, and team members in both English and Spanish.
- Collaborate with colleagues as a team player to support daily clinic operations and shared goals.
- Uphold all clinical policies, procedures, and safety standards, including proper infection control and instrument handling.
- Demonstrate reliability and commitment to the role, with an interest in long-term employment.
- Participate in performance reviews, including a 90-day probationary period focused on performance and fit within the team.
Essential Skills
- 1–2 years of experience working in a clinical setting.
- Hands-on experience with medical assisting and patient care in a clinical role.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Phlebotomy skills and comfort with blood draws.
- Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to chart vital signs and medical histories accurately and efficiently.
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly in both languages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliability, professionalism, and a desire to stay in the role long term.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Medical Assistant (MA) diploma preferred but not required.
- Experience preparing surgical trays and assisting with preoperative procedures.
- Warm, bubbly personality that helps put patients at ease.
- Ability to interact confidently and professionally with high-end clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a results-oriented environment with performance-based incentives.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rego Park, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
