The Construction Project Manager will oversee rehab and renovation projects at various multifamily residential properties. This position will work closely with the on-site Property Staff, Construction Manager, asset management team, external contractors and vendors to supervise and participate in rehab, renovations and property repairs by staying within budget and timeline expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Coordinate scope of the project in collaboration with senior management

· Create detailed work plan and determine resources required to complete the project

· Participate in budget preparation and administration of project

· Develop and maintain a schedule of completion and allocate resources appropriately

· Administer project according to plan and schedule

· Monitor progress of the project and manage changes to the project scope and schedule

· Monitor and approve all budgeted hard cost project expenditures

· Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on progress

· Maintain records, prepare reports and documentation

· Review submittals and correspondence from contractor and consultants

This position requires consistent travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

Construction Project Management experience required

Must have extensive knowledge of construction project management while also understanding the architecture and engineering facets of construction

Must have previous experience requiring organization skills

Prior Multifamily Residential experience highly preferred

Ability to multi-task is required

Intermediate Excel knowledge required, ability to manage a detailed data spreadsheet

Contract negotiation experience preferred

College degree preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Customer service/vendor relations oriented

Ability to work independently

Highly motivated, self-starter committed to meeting deadlines
