Open the Door to Your Next Career Move

We’re looking for a sharp and mechanically savvy Door Systems & Access Control Technician to join our Facilities team supporting a premier pharmaceutical manufacturing campus in Devens, MA. This isn’t your average door repair job—you’ll be the go-to expert for a wide range of doors, access control devices, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems across a 1-million-square-foot, GMP-regulated environment. If you’ve got hands-on experience with mechanical systems, enjoy diagnostics and light programming, and want long-term potential in a high-performing team, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and repair everything from dock levelers and rolling steel doors to cleanroom man doors, sliding gates, storefront entrances, and high-speed roll-up doors

  • Install, program, and maintain electronic access control components such as mag locks, proximity sensors, e-strikes, and key systems

  • Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic door operators, actuators, and lock assist mechanisms

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections on all assigned door systems

  • Support general facilities work: patch/paint, lighting, minor plumbing, furniture moves, and more

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, secure, and code-compliant building access

  • Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, PMs, materials used, and programming changes

What You Bring

  • Solid background in mechanical and electromechanical door systems

  • Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic door operators and lift systems

  • Familiarity with door brands such as Stanley, Dormakaba, Tormax, Chase, ASI, and Schlage

  • Hands-on skills in access control system installation, programming, and troubleshooting

  • Understanding of GMP/cleanroom environments and safe work practices

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform active, hands-on facility maintenance work

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of experience in door/access system maintenance and repair

  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems

  • Comfortable with basic programming of door/access devices

  • Familiar with Google Docs, Word, and Excel for service documentation

  • AAADM certification and previous work in pharmaceutical or cGMP settings preferred

Why This Role

  • 30–34/hr with long-term, temp-to-perm opportunity

  • Consistent weekday schedule with work-life balance

  • Be part of a supportive, skilled IFM team on a high-profile site

  • Grow your career in an environment where precision and craftsmanship are valued

If you're ready to bring your mechanical, hydraulic, and access control expertise to a team that supports critical life sciences operations—apply today.
