Job Description
Engage in daily production and packaging activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all related standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals and manage peaks in workload to ensure timely product release and avoid back orders. Work closely with the Team Leader to manage critical raw materials, in-process procedures, and specifications. Address technical problems related to raw materials and finished products, and perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily production and packaging activities following GMP and SOPs.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals and manage workload peaks.
- Coordinate with the Team Leader on raw materials, in-process procedures, and specifications.
- Address technical issues related to raw materials and finished products.
- Perform quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
- Identify and resolve line issues and production problems, informing the Team Leader of corrective actions needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with GDP and SOPs.
- Utilize computerized Materials Resource Planning (MRP) inventory system for reporting.
Essential Skills
- Understanding of cleanroom protocols and production processes.
- Familiarity with GDP, GMP, SOPs, and their applications in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to provide examples of SOP usage in past roles to achieve goals.
- Comprehension of GDP and ability to follow good documentation practices.
- Machine operation, multitasking, quality assurance, packaging, and inspection skills.
- Computer operation and familiarity with DHR and other manufacturing acronyms.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- At least two years of previous assembly/packaging experience.
- Experience in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Quick comprehension of coagulation-based manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with GLP, FDA, and ISO standards.
- Knowledge of qualification and validation trials is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and large ERP systems.

Work Environment
Technical Operator positions available in the TEM and Cuvette departments with various shifts including early morning, afternoon, and evening options. Training is provided on different shifts with a 10% shift differential. Dress code requires pants (no leggings), no makeup or lipstick, and tucked necklaces. Safety gear such as ear protection is provided due to the loud environment. Headphones and cell phone usage are restricted on the manufacturing floor. Overtime may be required and flexibility is appreciated.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract-to-hire position based out of San Diego, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $23.10/hr.
