Salary Range: $46,220.72 - $64,709.01 (Hourly: $27.00/hr. - $37.32/hr.)

About the Role

Are you ready to make a difference in patient care? We are looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic outpatient practice at the South Clinical Campus in Albany, NY. In this role, you will work closely with our Nephrology, Infectious Disease, and Student Health Services teams, providing essential support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Your Responsibilities

As an LPN, you will:

• Obtain and accurately record patients' vital signs.
• Document components of patients' medical histories.
• Communicate openly and effectively with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Assist in in-office procedures under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers.
• Perform diagnostic CLIA waived testing.
• Conduct venipuncture for lab testing.
• Handle prescription call-backs within your scope of practice.
• Prepare patient charts with pertinent clinical information.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure examination rooms are well-stocked.
• Adhere to Albany Medical Center’s regulatory compliance standards.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• A High School Diploma or G.E.D. (required).
• Current LPN State Licensure (required).
• Previous experience in a patient care setting (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients, families, and colleagues.

Physical Demands

This role requires:

• Constant standing, walking, and talking.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, and handling.
• Occasional climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Frequent repetitive motions and eye/hand/foot coordination.

Working Conditions

In this position, you may encounter:

• Noise (constant).
• Hazards (frequent).
• Extreme temperatures and humidity (rare).
