We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team on a Part-time, Contract basis. In this role, you will focus on managing commercial and consumer collections, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong customer relationships. This position is located in Plymouth, Minnesota, but allows for Remote work after training.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee the collection of outstanding balances from commercial and consumer accounts.

• Communicate effectively with customers to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans.

• Analyze account histories to identify trends and address potential risks.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing and collection processes.

• Monitor and update account records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Create detailed reports on collection activities and account statuses.

• Handle disputes and escalate unresolved issues when necessary.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

• Provide recommendations for improving collection strategies.

• Maintain attentive and courteous interactions with clients and team members.

• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections.
• Strong understanding of credit and collection processes.
• Proficiency in handling billing and account reconciliation tasks.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using collection software and tools.
