About the Position
We are looking for a dedicated Pediatric Transport Registered Nurse (RN) to become part of our committed team. This position is crucial for delivering exceptional care during helicopter transfers for pediatric patients. You will apply the nursing process to assess, stabilize, and carry out necessary diagnostic and therapeutic actions during transport, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients throughout the journey.Position Highlights:
Main Responsibilities
- Evaluate and stabilize patients during helicopter transfers.
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as required.
- Maintain accountability for the quality of patient care.
- Collaborate with various departments and multidisciplinary teams.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
- Accurately document care plans, interventions, and outcomes.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives and professional growth.
- Maintain necessary certifications and competencies (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
- Provide guidance and delegation to unlicensed healthcare providers and LPNs as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited registered nursing program.
- Licensure: Valid RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (must be obtained within the specified timeframe).
- Physical Requirements: Capability to regularly push, pull, and lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; ability to bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
