Position Overview:
Department: Surgery
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with weekend rotations as necessary for on-call duties.

Salary Range: $36.13 - $57.81

Position Summary:
This role involves leading and coordinating unit staffing while ensuring the achievement of clinical goals and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
Primary Duties:
- Oversees, directs, educates, and evaluates nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to performance assessments.
- Evaluates daily patient care requirements and assigns care tasks, ensuring appropriate care is provided to all patients.
- Collaborates with advanced practice providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Assesses the effectiveness of patient care and identifies issues impacting desired results.
- Addresses patient care complaints through established protocols.
- May assist in the hiring, training, and evaluation of staff.
- Maintains a constant state of alertness and safety.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly uses speech for effective oral communication.
- Constantly stands and walks.
- Frequently lifts, carries, and pushes/pulls objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Regularly sits, reaches, and uses a keyboard for data entry.
- Frequently utilizes vision for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, including color recognition.
- Regularly uses smell to identify odors.
- Frequently uses hearing to receive verbal communication and detect alarms or machinery issues.
- Occasionally lifts and moves objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
- Occasionally assists in lifting/moving patients.
- Occasionally bends, stoops, kneels, squats, twists, grips, and performs repetitive movements with legs and arms.
- Occasionally drives.
- Rarely crawls or runs.
Required Professional Licenses and Certifications:
For Illinois:
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
For Missouri:
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
- Or Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Compact State.
For Oklahoma:
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Compact State.
- Or Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN).
For Wisconsin:
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Compact State.
- Or Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
