This is a leadership track for high‑caliber builders who want to grow a book of business and lead a team. You’ll begin as a Financial Professional to master the client acquisition model and licensing, then transition to field management (recruiting, coaching, and developing producers) once company standards are met. NYL’s development journey is structured and recognized industry‑wide for excellence.
Career progression (illustrative):
- Phase 1 – Financial Professional: Build your practice with best‑in‑class training (NYLIC University, blended learning, field coaching).
- Transition to Management: Agents must meet production and licensing requirements prior to transitioning into management.
- Management Path: Structured leadership development with ongoing coursework and workshops (management roles may require additional FINRA registrations, e.g., Series 24 for certain positions).
Compensation:
$60,000 - $250,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Phase 1 (build your practice)
- Attract, meet, and advise clients; deliver insurance‑based strategies (life, annuity, LTCI, DI) and, when appropriately licensed, investments.
- Execute a proven prospecting cadence supported by NYL’s digital tools (CRM, social, campaigns, GuideMe).
- Grow within practice models (e.g., Financial Guidance, Retirement Planning, Wealth Advisory) as you expand credentials.
Phase 2 (leadership & management)
- Recruit, coach, and develop new Financial Professionals; model the sales process and activity management.
- Drive performance discipline (pipeline, activity, skill development) and uphold compliance and culture standards.
Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
- Leadership/management background or business ownership; strong sales and client‑facing experience.
- Enterprising, coachable, communicative, self‑disciplined, authentic—traits we actively seek in leaders.
- Licensing: Ability to obtain Life & Health; willingness to pursue FINRA registrations (e.g., SIE, Series 6 or 7 & 63). Certain management roles may require Series 24.
