Location: Salt Lake City, UT (On-site)
Reports To: Executive Leadership
Position Summary
Elevate Recycling and Disposal Services is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to support our rapidly growing organization. This position will be based in our Salt Lake City office and is an on-site role, requiring daily attendance.
As we continue to expand through acquisitions, this role will be instrumental in supporting the employee experience across multiple operating companies. The Senior HR Generalist will oversee key human resources functions, including recruitment support, offer letters, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and the integration of employees from newly acquired businesses.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who is organized, proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This individual should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, building scalable HR processes, and providing exceptional support to both employees and leadership.
Essential ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Hiring
- Prepare and distribute offer letters and employment documentation.
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks and onboarding paperwork.
- Partner with hiring managers to facilitate an efficient hiring process.
- Support recruiting activities as needed.
Onboarding & Employee Integration
- Manage the onboarding process for all new employees.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure completion of all required documentation.
- Maintain onboarding checklists and standardized processes.
- Lead the HR integration of employees from newly acquired companies, including employee records, onboarding, benefits enrollment, and communication.
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and other company-sponsored benefits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment and qualifying life event changes.
- Work directly with benefit providers and brokers to resolve employee issues.
Human Resources Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with employee relations matters while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support performance management initiatives and policy administration.
- Coordinate leave administration, workers' compensation claims, and unemployment requests as needed.
Organizational Growth & Process Improvement
- Develop and improve HR processes that support a growing multi-entity organization.
- Assist with standardizing HR policies and procedures across newly acquired businesses.
- Partner with leadership on organizational initiatives and workforce planning.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process improvements and HR technology.
Additional Duties
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with employee information.
- Support special projects and strategic HR initiatives.
- Be flexible to meet business needs during periods of rapid growth, acquisitions, and organizational change.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of five years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with benefits administration, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or employee integration efforts.
- Experience working in a multi-location or multi-entity organization.
- Payroll coordination experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary, anticipated at approximately $85,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
