Key Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) nursing experience.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and cardiovascular surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of direct patient care during open-heart and other cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Scrub and circulate in CVOR procedures as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to support optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain and ensure proper setup and sterility of the surgical environment.
  • Monitor patient status, document appropriately, and advocate for patient safety throughout procedures.
