Location: Cincinnati, OH 45248
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging procedures in a clinical setting. This role involves operating mammography and ultrasound equipment, assisting radiologists with specialized procedures, and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and accurate diagnostic results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality mammography in accordance with established breast imaging standards
  • Operate mammography and ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images
  • Assist radiologists with procedures such as cyst aspirations, needle localizations, and biopsies
  • Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and sterile techniques
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of imaging equipment and work areas
  • Accurately document patient history, including relevant clinical findings
  • Input and verify patient information in Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
  • Track and manage imaging exams within RIS
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain processes, and obtain necessary consents
  • Provide compassionate patient care while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
  • Support workflow efficiency and timely completion of exams

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mammography
  • Proficiency in operating mammography and ultrasound equipment
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and sterile techniques
  • Completion of 15 CEU hours in mammography (within the last 3 years)

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Completion of required mammography training, including:
    • Breast anatomy and physiology
    • Positioning and compression techniques
    • Quality assurance and control
    • Imaging patients with breast implants
  • Documentation of:
    • 40 hours of mammography-specific training
    • 25 supervised mammograms
    • 8 hours of digital/tomosynthesis training

Certifications & Licensure

  • ARRT (R) – Registered Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT (M) – Mammography Certification
  • Certified Mammographer
  • Active Ohio State License
  • BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
