Purpose:
The Director of Health Services at Knox College manages the day to day operations of Health Services. This position is full time, 11 month and exempt, reporting to the Assistant Dean for Student Health and Wellness.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day to day operations of Health Services at Knox College.

Supervise Health Services staff.

Monitor community and campus-specific health concerns and respond in accordance with Department of Health recommendations and follow protocols to best ensure the health and well-being of the Knox College campus community.

Administer vaccines and medications as necessary. Track student immunization records in accordance with Illinois state law.

Manage supply inventory by ordering medical supplies and non-prescription medications.

Consult and collaborate with Counseling Services staff.

Collaborate with College staff to develop and implement health promotion and outreach programming for students.

Participate in presentations for parents, student leaders, and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
-
Illinois State Nursing License or eligibility for same
-
Valid certification in CPR

Maintain and participate in professional development and certification through continuing education opportunities; maintain awareness and familiarity of legislative issues

Knowledge and competence in all areas of patient assessment and outpatient care, including women’s health and psychiatric issues that affect young adults

Follow standing orders from a nurse practitioner or physician

Knowledge of public health standards and protocols

Proficient in the use of an Electronic Medical Record system

Management of an outpatient clinic including some supervision of staff, ability to manage a budget with purchases and primary care operations preferred
Summary Pay Range: Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience. Please note that pay is only one component of total compensation.
