We are seeking a Women's Designer Director for our global retail client. In this role, you will work in an energizing, inclusive, and creative environment focused on concept and creating sustainable products that exceed customer’s expectations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure product style, fit, and quality consistently deliver exceptional value for customers. This is a 40-hour per week, 3-month contract, an Onsite (Preferred) OR Hybrid role in San Francisco, CA.
This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
● Set the strategic direction for the product area and team.
● Provide creative direction and coaching to develop a motivated, high-performing team.
● Research global markets to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories, and competitive inspiration.
● Develop concepts and sketches for the product line.
● Present and advocate design ideas to internal leadership and cross-functional partners.
● Build strong cross-functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, Sourcing, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing to ensure seamless execution from concept to store and site.
● Partner with Production and Technical Design to create tech packs and communicate the vision behind fit and product design.
● Ensure execution, quality, and margin targets are achieved.
● Collaborate with and lead others in key design and product initiatives and their implementation.
Requirements:
● 10+ years of experience in global design direction for conceptual development of a product line.
● Ability to research and interpret global market trends and translate them into product concepts.
● Strong design skills, including concepting and sketching for product lines.
● Ability to present and advocate design ideas to leadership and partners.
● Experience collaborating with Production and Technical Design on tech packs, fit, and product execution.
● Ability to ensure product style, fit, and quality meet customer expectations and value.
● Customer-focused mind-set with curiosity and willingness to take risks.

Compensation: $74/hr. - $78/hr.
