Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring an active ID or compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in a 24-bed acute care telemetry unit
- Patient population includes heart failure, COPD, sepsis, AFib, pneumonia, stroke, detox, and patients on suicidal holds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
- 12-hour night shifts from 7p-7a with weekend rotation as needed
- May float to MedSurg within the facility and to Tele units at Meridian or Boise
- Unit uses Epic EMR; experience preferred
- Set rate medications include Diltiazem, Heparin, Amiodarone, and Lidocaine
- Cpap, Bipap, and high flow oxygen equipment utilized
- Telemetry Techs available; RNs must sign off on ECG strips
- Schedule is managed by the unit scheduler without blocked scheduling requests
- Team nursing model with a charge nurse and unit leadership support
- CNAs available with a 1:8 ratio; three CNAs when the unit is full
- One to two days of department-specific orientation provided
- RNs do not titrate drips on this unit
- Travelers with experience may be eligible for lead roles
- Clean and professional scrubs of any color are permitted
- Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply

- Active ID or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1 year recent RN experience in telemetry or a related acute care setting
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Two professional references: one from a supervisor in the past 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor in the past 3 years
- Copy of driver’s license required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
- Previous permanent employees must be separated for at least one year before applying as a traveler
