Position Overview
JP Ready Mix is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales / Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for managing customer inquiries, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the sales team in achieving growth goals. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in construction materials or related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating & Pricing
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for ready-mix concrete projects.
- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine material quantities and pricing.
- Generate quotes and proposals for customers in a timely manner.
- Sales & Customer Service
- Handle incoming sales calls, emails, and inquiries from contractors, builders, and project managers.
- Provide product knowledge, technical information, and pricing guidance to customers.
- Follow up on bids, quotes, and proposals to convert opportunities into sales.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Administrative & Support
- Track estimates, proposals, and sales activities in the company’s CRM system.
- Coordinate with dispatch, operations, and field teams to ensure accurate scheduling and delivery.
- Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to maintain competitive bids.
Qualifications
- Experience in estimating, inside sales, or customer service (construction, concrete, or building materials preferred).
- Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Knowledge of ready-mix concrete, aggregates, or construction materials.
- Experience using estimating software or CRM systems.

Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 (DOE).
- Commission: 1% of sales revenue closed (uncapped).
- Bonus: +0.5% commission when monthly sales exceed $200,000.
- Quarterly Bonus: $2,500 for hitting revenue targets.
