Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a progressive care unit (PCU) environment.
- Monitor and manage high-acuity patients, including experience with arterial lines, high acuity drips, and respiratory support such as BiPAP and Airvo.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to implement care plans.
- Respond rapidly to patient changes and adjust care as necessary.
- Maintain compliance with institutional policies within this nicotine-free facility.
- Float to lesser acuity units as assigned.
- Work on a schedule of 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and major holidays with scheduling flexibility.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current registered nurse (RN) license.
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
- Minimum of 1 year PCU nursing experience.
- Preferred experience with high acuity drip management and arterial line care.
- Ability to adapt to a nicotine-free work environment.
- New graduates are not accepted for this role.
Schedule:
- 12-hour night shifts, from approximately 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
- Weekend schedule: every other weekend.
- Holiday work with potential for time off on major holidays through managerial scheduling.
- Orientation is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
