Manager of Diversity & Inclusion

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing strategic retention and advancement initiatives promoting inclusive access to development and career growth opportunities for all personnel.
  • Supervising, mentoring, coaching, and developing the D&I Assistant and D&I Specialist, with administrative responsibility for ensuring the effective execution of their respective responsibilities in support of the full D&I function and firm strategies.
  • Supervising, managing, and collaborating on the design and execution of diverse and rigorous learning programs to foster inclusion.
  • Collaborating with Legal Talent and HR to integrate inclusion principles into onboarding, evaluations, promotions, and career development systems.
  • Working with the Director to liaise with Practice Innovation and Management and other administrative departments to develop customized inclusion action plans.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or JD preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years managerial experience with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a diversity and inclusion role within a law firm, professional services, or corporate environment.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing innovative D&I programs and events that support measurable cultural and talent development outcomes.
  • High proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.
  • High proficiency with data analysis deliverables, methods, and tools; survey platforms, project management, and collaborative work platforms (e.g., Power BI, Smartsheet, Culture Amp, Qualtrics) preferred. Proficiency in VI Desktop preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the diversity and inclusion industry.
  • Deep understanding of inclusion-centered organizational change and talent development.
  • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
