CMM Programmer | Mason, MI
Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to define measurement strategies.
- Select and set up appropriate CMM probes, fixtures, and part coordinate systems for accurate measurement.
- Execute CMM programs, analyze measurement data, and generate detailed inspection reports.
- Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure part quality and resolve measurement issues.
- Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Continuously optimize CMM programs for efficiency, repeatability, and reduced inspection time.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
- Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
- Proven experience programming and operating CMMs in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of various metrology tools and measurement techniques.
- Experience with quality assurance principles and statistical process control (SPC).
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners, optical comparators).
- Proficiency in CAD software for model manipulation or fixture design.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis.
- Basic CMM maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
