Job Description
This person will be part of a team responsible for performing common area operating expense reconciliations for a portfolio of office and retail buildings.
GENERAL OPERATIONS

Read and interpret lease agreements and extract information to calculate additional rent.

Analyze general ledger operating expense activity.

Analyze operating expenses trends and provide variance explanations.

Calculate monthly operating expense estimates.

Prepare projected monthly operating expense billings for annual budgets
-
Reconcile annual operating expenses based on actual expenses, including gross up, expense cap and expense floor calculations.

Respond to tenant inquiries

TECHNICAL PREREQUISITES
-
Real Estate/Property Management Accounting experience.

Ability to understand and interpret Commercial Retail and Office Leases.

Proficient with Microsoft Excel at the intermediate or higher level.

Experience with property management software, preferably MRI.

Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who works well in a team environment under tight deadlines.
