About the Role

The individual will be responsible for supervising day-to-day health services’ activities. Health Services provides services and support for foster care, residential, and juvenile

justice-involved youth.


What You’ll Do

• Provides general medical care and treatment to individuals supported per program, on site.

• Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions.

• Provide health evaluations, assessments and screenings with follow-ups.

• Review all Pediatric guidelines for care, including immunizations and testing.

• Records physical findings based on patient’s condition.

• Participate in clinical team and other health professionals to prepare

comprehensive patient care plan utilizing historical and current information.

• Conducts and assists in medical examinations of youth after incidents.

• Provides health education to youth supported, including reproductive health

education.

• On call for all triage, sick, urgent and quick coverage, questions and consult

calls for assigned programs.

• Administer Medication.

• Train staff.

• Assist with home visits and community provider visits as needed

• Other duties as assigned.



Your Qualifications

• Valid New York State Registered Nurse License

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university

• Recent Experience in pediatric nursing and/or psychiatric nursing experience

preferred

• Excellent interpersonal, relationship, oral and written communication skills

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full Time morning and evening shifts are available as well as weekend and holiday per diem shifts available.


Additional Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the U.S.

• Ability to work in-person in Bronx, Yonkers, Brooklyn or Queens for at least 2

days a week.

• Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites (if required)
