Job Title: Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist - Day Shift
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join our team for a 13-week contract. This position offers a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, either 07:00 - 17:00 or 07:30 - 17:30. As an IR Technologist, you will work in a dynamic environment, performing a variety of interventional procedures while providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform IR procedures with accuracy and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Assist in special procedures involving catheter placements, biopsies, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain and manage equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with medical professionals and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Float between the Mainland and Atlantic City campuses as needed.
- Participate in call rotation, which includes five weekday nights and one full weekend every six weeks.
- Engage in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in Interventional Radiology.
Qualifications:
- ARRT VI certification preferred; must have a valid NJ state license (can be obtained prior to start).
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Minimum of one year of previous charge experience in an IR setting.
- Familiarity with medication systems, specifically Pyxis, and hybrid OR experience is highly desired.
- Proficiency in various skills, including but not limited to angiography, catheter placement, and thrombolysis.
Work Environment:
- Average daily census of 7-15 cases.
- Opportunity to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Uniform provided upon arrival, along with parking accommodations at each facility.
Patient Care Focus:
- Provide care primarily for adult and geriatric patients.
- Engage in interdisciplinary support and adapt to diverse patient care scenarios.
Additional Information:
- Orientation includes a 6-day training program (8-hour days).
- Travelers will need to complete lab and fingerprinting appointments within 72 hours of acceptance.
