Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active Colorado Department of Education certification with appropriate endorsements—applicants must meet requirements specific to the assigned caseload (see endorsement categories below).
  • Prior experience supporting students with Autism in a school setting is essential.
  • Must complete district-required background check and fingerprinting promptly.
  • Flexibility to accept campus assignment and caseload once determined.

Endorsement Categories Include (based on assignment):

  • Early Childhood Special Ed (Grades P3-2)
  • Special Education Generalist (Affective Needs, Autism, Cross Categorical, Functional Academics, Severe Needs/Life Skills)
  • Specific endorsements for Educationally Handicapped, Physically Handicapped, Severe Needs, or Cognitive needs, as applicable.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and adapt specialized lesson plans in accordance with students’ individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Foster inclusive, accessible classroom environments for a diverse population of learners.
  • Collaborate closely with school teams, families, and related service providers to support student growth.
  • Participate in campus and district professional development as new classrooms are established.
  • Maintain ongoing communication regarding student progress and goals.
