Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery RN – Northern California

Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Napa, California
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Weekend coverage required; potential for on-call shifts depending on census; float to postpartum as needed

Highlights:

• Work in a 200-bed acute care hospital with a daily census of 2–3 deliveries and approximately 15 visits per day
• 5-bed Labor & Delivery unit with nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 40-hour orientation provided; first-time travelers welcome
• Free parking and professional royal blue scrubs provided for RNs
• Flexible scheduling available per manager discretion; one pre-approved time off period

Requirements:

• Active California RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required
• BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Proficiency in sterile vaginal exams (hard stop requirement)
• Strong skills in fetal monitoring (external and internal), maternal-fetal assessment, and neonatal resuscitation
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, C-section assistance/recovery, postpartum hemorrhage, and couplet care
• Ability to scrub for C-sections, assist with circumcisions, and perform various obstetric procedures
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of comparable specialty experience within the last 3 years
• Local candidates accepted (50-mile radius rule applies)
