Step into a rewarding contract role supporting student success as a 1:1 Paraprofessional in a vibrant school environment near Brockton, MA. Beginning immediately and continuing through the end of the school year, you’ll work closely with a 5th grade student, providing dedicated assistance and encouragement to enhance their educational experience.
In this role, you'll enjoy a pay rate of $25 per hour while making a meaningful daily impact. You’ll collaborate with teachers and staff, engaging with students and helping to shape a positive classroom atmosphere.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar education support position
- Track record of building positive relationships with elementary-aged children
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
- Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to a 5th grade student throughout the school day
- Assist with academic tasks, social interactions, and classroom activities
- Implement strategies outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt instruction and activities as needed
- Support the student’s personal, social, and emotional development
