Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Professional Educator License in Deaf and Hard of Hearing or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity
- Prior school-based experience preferred
- Demonstrated expertise working with PreK–12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Willingness and ability to provide on-site services exclusively
Role Overview:
- Deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and maintain comprehensive documentation to meet all district, state, and federal compliance standards
- Utilize ECATS and Infinite Campus systems for data recording and communication
- Foster academic achievement and facilitate essential life skills within the school setting, ensuring students access the curriculum fully
Assignment Details:
- On-site only, part-time schedule (29 hours per week)
- School calendar: August 17, 2026 – June 4, 2027
- Caseload spans students from PreK through 12th grade
