PRODUCTION:
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing processes, work order scheduling, materials management, quality control, and logistics
- Coordinate effective workflows that maximize efficiency and quality
- Manage an effective Quality Control program
- Assist with raw materials, inventory purchasing and planning with Supply Chain Manager
- Oversee purchasing of consumables
- Work with Engineering and Warehouse teams on new items, revisions, process changes, and procedure creation/updates to ensure organized documentation across teams and in NetSuite
- Work with teams on new product launches, updates, and large or custom orders to ensure that realistic timing and quantities are conveyed to customers and the public
PERSONNEL:
- Oversee all Riverton staff
- Keep team accountable to duties and goals
- Support and train production Team Leads, guiding them into habits of checking their team’s work order flow, processes, progress, quality, and behavior
- Oversee onboarding, training, and cross-training processes and documentation
- Work with Office Manager and CEO/COO to assess personnel needs, interview prospects, and onboard new production hires
- Work with Office Manager and CEO/COO on production performance reviews, pay rate changes, and disciplinary actions if needed
FACILITY:
- Coordinate facility upkeep, repairs, or maintenance tasks, working with other stakeholders as needed
- Oversee and participate in Safety Committee for entire facility; serve as safety liaison for entire building
- Oversee and participate in Grounds Committee as needed
- Assist with IT system setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting when possible – coordinate higher-level requests with external internet personnel
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATION:
- Collaborate on budgets, control and monitor production and facility expenses, and work towards cost optimization and profitability
- Continually work towards item cost accuracy
- Share NetSuite duties with CEO and work towards optimal utilization
PROCESS & PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT:
- Help identify areas for improvement, streamlining, procedural change, physical reorganization, and optimal staffing within the bounds of revenue and demand
- Oversee SOP documentation, prioritization, and organization
- Coordinate product 360 reviews for continual improvement in product design and manufacture
REPORTING:
- Work with CEO/COO on creating, tracking, reporting, and presenting strategic KPI’s
- Devise methods of regularly communicating appropriate KPI’s to full staff to incentivize and celebrate good work
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or related fieldExperience: 5 years of cross-functional managerial experience within a manufacturing setting
Manufacturing Expertise: 5 years experience in small manufacturing operations with a deep understanding of
systems, processes, and lean manufacturing principles
Leadership: Proven success leading multiple teams, managing personnel, and achieving goals
Financial & Business Acumen: Understanding of business financial systems, principles and reporting methods and ability to create and work within financial budgets
Communication: Strong verbal, written, presentation, and inter-personal communication skills
ERP and Database Systems: Familiarity with ERP system structure, capabilities, and limitations – experience with
NetSuite a plus. Ability to use Excel spreadsheets, along with other computer proficiencies in data mining, analysis, and presentation.
