The HR Specialist plays a critical role in supporting high-volume recruiting and HR operations for a fast-growing bakery café organization. This position partners closely with leadership to attract top talent, manage full-cycle hiring, and support smooth HR operations while maintaining a positive candidate and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for support office and operational roles across multiple departments
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience
- Extend job offers and support pre-employment onboarding
- Maintain applicant tracking system and HR records accurately
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and priorities
- Track and report hiring metrics (time-to-fill, time-to-hire)
- Assist with day-to-day HR inquiries, audits, reporting, and process improvements
- Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and hiring best practices
- Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition experience (hospitality or retail preferred)
- Experience in high-volume hiring and fast-paced environments
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (Harri experience a plus)
- Ability to manage multiple openings while maintaining attention to detail
- High emotional intelligence, teamwork orientation, and a people-first mindset
- Passion for connecting people to roles where they can succeed
