Job DescriptionJob Title: Shipper/Receiver
Location: Cavendish, VT
Shift: 1st Shift
Payrate: $20+/HR depending on experience
Job Overview:
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, moving materials within the facility, and maintaining accurate records. This role ensures materials are safely transported, stored, and documented to support efficient operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks; move materials around the warehouse using forklifts and hand jacks
- Prepare products for shipment (strapping, wrapping, labeling)
- Deliver packaging materials and products to the proper areas
- Maintain accurate inventory records and use computer systems to track shipments
- Create and manage shipping documents (packing slips, bills of lading, etc.)
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Follow all safety rules and procedures
- Work with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Train others and assist in improving processes
- Perform other related duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience using forklifts and warehouse equipment
- Basic computer skills (inventory systems, shipping software)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Physically able to lift, move, and handle materials safely
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing tasks or priorities
Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
